General Traffic & Travel Information 

The Sheffield Arena is one of the country's largest indoor entertainment venues, with a capacity of over 12,000. Therefore on the day of the event heavy and slow moving traffic can be expected on all approaches.

Nearly 1,300 on-site car parking spaces are available with an additional over-flow facility for 700 cars. Car parking is payable upon entrance and the following charges apply: £10 coaches, £6 Mini buses, £5 Cars, £3 Ice Hockey. Only limited on-street parking is available around the Arena.

Disabled Car Parking Facilities are available at the Arena priced at £5.00 per car or £3.00 for ice hockey events. If you wish to utilise these facilities please display your Disabled badge/permit on the dashboard of your car. Please be aware that we will make every effort to find you the most suitable parking location that we can when you arrive, but spaces can't be reserved in advance.

Park and Ride facilities are available from the train station at Meadowhall Shopping Centre and off the Sheffield Parkway (A630). For further information on tram and bus services to the Arena contact the Traveline on (01709) 51 51 51.

To ensure your full enjoyment of the event, please allow plenty of time for your journey, as it may not be possible to admit latecomers until a suitable break in the show.

Sheffield Arena has it's own Supertram site, linking to Sheffield Railway Station, Meadowhall Shopping Centre Station and various Park & Ride locations.

The Arena is also located on several main bus routes.

Sheffield Arena is located outside the city centre close to Junction 34 off the M1 (for Meadowhall Shopping Centre) and Junction 33 (for Sheffield City Centre).

The Arena's on site car park can easily accommodate around 1200 cars, with an overflow facility for an additional 800 vehicles close by.

From The North 

Leave the M1 at Junction 34, signed Sheffield A6109 (Meadowhall). Take the fourth exit from the roundabout signed Sheffield Centre. Follow signs for Sheffield Centre (A6109) for 1.5 miles and then turn left following signs to the Ring Road A6102. Sheffield Arena is located on the right.

 
From The South 

Leave the M1 at Junction 33. Take the first exit at the roundabout on to the A630 (Sheffield). Continue for 2.5 miles until the exit marked Ring Road (services). Follow signs for the ring Road straight over a small roundabout. Turn right at the next roundabout onto the Ring Road/Meadowhall (A6178). Follow this road for 2 miles to Sheffield Arena, which is located on the left.

 
By Air 

Sheffield Arena is just a short drive away from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield. Robin Hood Airport is the UK's newest Airport, with low cost & holiday flights to destinations across Europe & beyond.

The Arena has two rail stations within easy reach of the venue.

Sheffield's main railway staion is situated in the City Centre - Sheaf Street, Sheffield, S1 2BP - and is approximately a 10 minute drive to the venue.

An alternative station is available at Meadowhall Interchange - which has a Supertram link to the venue - approximately 5 minutes drive to the venue.

Supertram 

The Arena has its own supertram stop, with and park and ride facilities at all main entries to the city. More information and timetables can be found at www.supertram.com.

Trams run approximately every 10 minutes from 6.00am until midnight.
