Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Latest update

12 April 2021

The health and wellbeing of all our customers is our absolute priority at Sheffield City Trust

Our golf courses & leisure centres have now all re-opened - click here for further information about SCT Leisure Centres & golf courses.

The Arena remains closed for all public events but on the 25 January 2021 was opened as a NHS COVD-19 Vaccination Centre open 7 days a week and run by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals on behalf of the NHS national vaccination programme - further information on the opening of the Vaccination Centre is available here.

Further details on how the venue has been working with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and playing a small but important role within the Sheffield community since March 2020 can be found hereAs part of the on-going Covid-19 pandemic, there is no prospect of any of our indoor entertainment venues being able to re-open until the Government gives the go ahead for mass gatherings to take place.

If you have a vaccination appointment at the Arena we have put together an information page to help make your visit to the venue as easy and stress-free as possible - click here for the latest advice & information.

As part of the on-going Covid-19 pandemic, there is no prospect of any of our indoor entertainment venues being able to re-open until the Government gives the go ahead for mass gatherings to take place, but we can confirm categorically that there is no plan for the permanent closure of the Sheffield Arena - we are already scheduling & going on sale with events in 2021, 2022 & beyond.

Sheffield City Trust is delighted to confirm that it has been awarded up to £2.243 million in funding from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund - click here for further details.

Sheffield City Trust will continuing to work closely with Sheffield City Council during this difficult time to ensure that there is a sustainable future for the city’s leisure and entertainment venues; with welcome financial subsidy to Sheffield City Trust during this difficult period.

We are also working with the industry and event organisers and promoters to plan for a very exciting future and look forward to welcoming you back to the Arena as soon as possible.

Health & Wellbeing is at the very heart of our organisation and we are committed to ensuring that we reduce the risk of Coronavirus
for all our customers to an absolute minimum.

Should you have any questions about your tickets or the show you are attending here at the Arena there is further information below with more information in our FAQ’s - this page will be updated as soon as anything changes so please keep checking back.

The Arena is an authorised ticket agent and a member of The Society of Ticket Agents & Retailer STAR should any of our shows cancel or be rescheduled we will refund ticket money and any pre-booked parking. If you booked tickets through another authorised agent they will also refund ticket money, please check with the retailer you booked with for their procedures. This refund policy is now more important then ever and why it is crucial to protect yourself and your ticket money and why we only recommend you only ever book with authorised retailers - if a show is cancelled you will get your money back on tickets booked through these retailers.

If you booked tickets with the Arena and your event is cancelled:
- You don't need to do anything all ticket, booking fees & any pre-paid parking money will be automatically refunded to the card on which you purchased your tickets with.

If you booked tickets with the Arena and your event is rescheduled:
- If you still wish to attend the new date simply turn up and your tickets will be valid and you don't need to do anything. Should you be unable to attend the rescheduled show you can either email stating your booking reference number & your latest contact details and the Arena Box Office can start the refund process on your behalf & contact you if there are any issues. Alternatively you can refund your own booking which will instanlty give you a ticket voucher back to your account redeemable against any future TM booking for shows at the Arena or Sheffield City Hall - click here for further details.

We are preparing for a new future and putting plans in place so that when we all return to live entertainment it is as safe as we can possibly make it for everyone attending and working in our venues.

Part of this process is looking at how we deliver tickets and reducing the number of points of contact between the venue and customers in the distribution and collection of tickets and how they are used to enter and move around the building so from June 2020 all tickets purchased online from the Arena web site will only be available on mobile phone - click here for full story.

If your question is not answered in the FAQ's above or you have any other question then you can email the Arena Box Office at who will try to assist. In line with the latest government advice and for the safety of our employees our offices and call lines are closed and we can only accept email correspondence - as such we ask that you only contact us if absolutely necessary and thank you for your patience during this very busy time - we will get back to you.

Please find below a summary of the Arena events that have been either cancelled or rescheduled.
